connecting Suunto Vyper Air

Post by savoie007 »

the SUUNTO connection options want me to select a COM port. my dive computer came with a USB connector cable which works with the SUUNTO Dm4 software (which has very limited functionality). Before i buy the full version of Dive log 5.0 will my SUUNTO be able to download to this software via the USB connection?? thanks for any help

Hi

When you connect the USB cable, a virtual COM port should be created, which you can select in the download dialog. Make sure to connect the cable before opening the dialog.

Kind regards,

Hi savoie0007
Should you had purshased this product, did you experience problem with down loading from the Vyper AIR ?
My experience is that all my dives store in Suunto Dive Manager were perfectly imoprted, with exeption of personalised field as anticipated.
Dive profiles are OK and synchronisation with Iphone works well.
However, when I direcly download from Vyper Air to desktop Diving log 5.0,
  • profil is meaningless. For info, I store profil at one second interval.
Temperature is meaningless. I am prety sure that water temp in Britanny is les rhan 43°C
What about your experience ?
Kind Regards
Scubabyss

Hi Scubabyss

There are two ways to download your Suunto with Diving Log, the "Suunto Downloader" and the "Universal Downloader". Make sure to try both of them.

Kind regards,
Sven
