Re: Android Sync Dive Log
I thanks you for your time and not getting annoyed with me, all now solved working fine on phone but I had to export to file then move to phone by USB connection. Now that Android encrypt the SD card to the phone I think the software may not see it. But I have proved it can be done.
Thanks again Sven

Thank you, I'm glad it works now!
Re: Android Sync Dive Log
To save creating a new topic - I am trying to do the sync with a sony Z2 on Marshmallow (6.01) and having a similar issue
I cannot see the device in the top left of the Android Sync window and cannot see the MTP device in the folder list either if I click on the send to device, but can if I open Explorer.. am I missing something here?

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
Hi Steve
Can you send me a screenshot of the Android device folder structure in Windows Explorer? Please make sure I can see the "Diving Log" folder in the screenshot, so I can see the full path on the device. Some devices seem to create one more folder level and the desktop version cannot find the "Diving Log" folder because of that.

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
Another question, do you use Diving Log 5.0 or 6.0? Because in version 5.0 MTP sync is not supported. Make also sure you're running the latest version 6.0.5.
Make also sure you've selected MTP mode in the Android USB options and not PTP. It looks like you may have to enable it manually in Android 6.0:

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
OK, I've probably found the problem. Right now only the first USB connected device appears. If that is a generic USB device, it does not show up and the Android phone does not appear either. I'll release another update for Diving Log this weekend, please try it again once you've received it and let me know if it works.

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
Hi,
I'm trying to sync my Diving Log logbook directly to my LG-G3 smartphone. My smartphone appears in the synchronization window
But when I choose 'Send to device' a 'Folder not found' error displays
The target folder and file do exist on my smartphone
Any ideas how to fix this?
Best regards,
Marten

Really strange, normall it should work. I'm sorry, I don't know at the moment why it doesn't work in your case. As a workaround, you can select in the dropdown box in the sync window (where "LG-G3" is selected) another option called "Select folder...". This allows you to save the file to any folder on your PC. Then you can copy that file manually to the phone using Windows Explorer.

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
My workflow was a manual copy to my phone. I had hoped that the new release would bring some improvement. I will try if it does work on my old mobile phone.

Please let me know if it works with your other phone.

Hello Sven,
I tried my old Samsung S3 (flashed with cyanogenmod 13) and it works like a charm!

Re: Android Sync Dive Log
Good to hear! Do you see any difference in the folder structure to the Diving Log folder, when both phones are connected to the PC? There must be something different on the LG-G3 phone. Are there different connection modes on the LG? Make sure the phone is connected in "MTP" mode.
