Importing

Post by Paolo »

I'm trying to import data from an Aladin Z.
I can connect and the program seems to import the data, but at the end I get a transfer error.

Hi Paolo

I think that the plugs, which are connected to the Aladin, are too loose, so that the transfer fails. Try to fix them during the import with your wet fingers, or put one drop of water on each metal connection hole of the Aladin.

I'm trying to import data from an Aladin Pro.I can connect and the program seems to import the data, but at the end I get a data type conversion error
( Error number : 3421 ). I am talking about version 4.0.The version 3.0 was working just fine.
What can I do?

Hi Igor

Does this error occur during the transfer (blue progressbar) or during the import into the logbook (last step of the wizard)?

OK, what country settings do you have in your computer control panel? I mean the dropdown list where you can find all countries to setup your date and time format.

I have tried it on my computer with slovenian setting and it worked, so I'm not sure what else the problem could be. Do you use the newest version 4.0 from my website, or the beta version? I uploaded the newest yesterday.

Registered it today. Using help make it stop working as well.

Hi Igor

Do you try to start the help from the Info dialog or from the Menu bar? I think the problem could be the file "Advpic.ocx", because the help button in the info dialog and the flag picturebox in the country dialog are the same controls. Maybe it helps when you uninstall the program and install it again. What windows version do you have, Windows XP?

You mean in this forum? You can setup the display time in your profile settings (the 2nd field from the bottom). It's the server time.
