Divesite/Wreck and depth

Post by Mjorud »

I have been adding a couple of wrecks as divesites and some wrecks are situated from e.g. 25 m to 50 m. If I write anything other than numbers in the depth-field, it get erased when saving. Is this to be fixed? If it is a bug, that is...

This is because the depth field is a numeric field in the database and so only numeric values can be stored there. To change this I would have to change this field to a text field which has some disadvantages.

How about adding a numeric field for depth at top of wreck to complement the existing max depth field?

Yes, an additional field for minimum depth like the top of a reef or wreck is a good idea.
