Unit Descriptions

Post by lloyd_borrett »

G'day,

In the Unit Calculations on the PC version, and in Unit Conversions on the Pocket PC versions, you use metric values in a form we're not used to here in Australia, or I believe in many other SI countries..

Meter - we use Metre
Millimeter - we use Millimetre
Centimeter - we use Centimetre
Decimeter - we use Decimetre
Kilometer - we use Kilometre
Liter - we use Litre
Hektar - we use Hectare

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

G'day,

Actually, most of the world uses the 'metre' form, as it's the SI standard. But in typical fashion those rebel yankees butcher the language and go for 'meter'.

Be great if you could support both ways.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

Hi Lloyd

In the new version 4.0.6 you're able to change the unit labels. Open the file "Units.mdb" in the program folder of Diving Log with MS Access. Open the table "Language" and change the text in the column "English".

You would be also able to add new units in the several tables.

Kind regards,
Sven
