More new sugestions

Post by marco.duarte » Fri Mar 18, 2016 09:38

Hi !!

Probably some of my suggestions it was already mentioned before.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Major features:
1 - Create a link, In the Dive Master field, to the buddies list (using the same source of information)
2 - Create a field, in buddies list, with their certification number, and organization.
3 - Fields with the dive cost, the dive cost itself, equip rental, additional cost (taxes), total cost. I already use the custom fields for that, but maybe a dedicate fields would be nice, specially in a numeric format.
4 - Import from Excel and/or CSV files.
5 - Create a DAN area or just a DAN number on personal information.
6 - No Deco Time on profile chart . I couldn't find it, so I presume that this is not present in the current version.
7 - Problems with Equipment and Problems During Dive. A check-list, just like the Dive Type, with a list of possible problems. It would help you to track your progress to solve those problems as you improve your skills.

Minor features:
1 - Change field colors (foreground and background).
2 - Ability to create a boat list (just like buddies, dive sites, cities, dive centers), with its information, such as picture, horsepower, passengers capacity, size, cruising speed, etc.
3 - Export to the Web SSI site, just like the Diveboard, Divelogs, etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Those are my 2 cents.
Maybe a permanent vote panel could help you guys from administration to prioritize the new features based on what most of users want to use.

Very kind regards,
Marco Duarte

You can copy and paste column by column from Excel in the table editor: https://www.divinglog.de/blog/?p=142

NDL is displayed in the profile if the data is available. Most sport dive computers do not record this data, so it is only availble when using a tec computer:

But you can use the deco calculator to calculate the NDL even for dives without deco information:

Hi

Thank you for the suggestion! The dive agency field is a free text field, you can enter anything you want into this field, even if it is not in the list.

Just wondering about the SSI export. I've used this app for nearly 8 years and i'm sure you can guess how many dives I would need to manually copy over to the site, but they are pushing more and more to use it for certs/etc and it may become a MUST.

I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it in an update or even version 7.

This is only possible if SSI has (or add) an upload API and they open it up to 3rd party developers. I have not asked them yet, but I'm not very optimistic. PADI has declined to open their certification storage to 3rd party developers.
