layouts lost forever?

ok, just had a look at 6.0 and the first and most very obvious thing was the layout was lost. Please tell me that https://www.divinglog.de/blog/?p=1701 isn't fully accurate and that there is a way to import the layout. You guys know how much time you have put into getting your layouts just right. New and improved is one thing but to completely abandon the old way with no way to move to the new....what is this Apple Computer?
Tell me I'm wrong, that I jumped the gun....that you've found a way. Please?

I'm sorry, the layout control is a 3rd party component, and if you look at the file format in Notepad, you can see it's completely different. It's not my fault, but I feel to your pain.
