Add choices to drop down lists

Post by Rbox »

Hi, I 'd like to be able to add choices to the drop down lists that don't allow typing. In particular I want an entry for "Swimming pool" in the 'Water' section and more choices in the 'Visibility' section. And this ofcourse in Dutch, so it would be easiest if I could add these entries myself. How can I do this?

Hi

This is unfortuntely currently not possible, because Diving Log stores just the numeric index of the list in the database, not the value. So this is something I would have to add in the code across all platforms.

For visibility, you can add 2 free text fields (VisHor and VisVer) in the layout designer (or simply use the "Extended Layout 2") in the layout tab of the logbook toolbar. For pool dives, I would add a dive type "Swimming pool" to the dive type list and add it that way.

Kind regards,
Sven

OK. Done as suggested. Not ideal, but workable. Follow-up questions in new thread.
