80 cu ft or 11 litre tank

Post by PeterO » Mon Dec 14, 2009 07:13

In US, most of Pacific and Australia (despite being metric), the prevalent tank is an aluminium 80 cu ft or 11.25 litre tank. I would like to suggest to include it as one of the standard pull down entries, just to make life that little bit easier... :-)

In my dropdow 80 cuft is included, I think it should be also in yours (when you have selected imperial units, of course)

Problem is that I live in a metric country that still uses a lot of imperial gear, including those tanks. There is also a question of travel - so while I want to have the software set to metric units, I do a lot of diving using imperial tanks.

BTW, all other gear down here is metric, so it wouldn't make sense to set the software to imperial units.

I still think that the most helpful solution here would be to add 11l tank to the metric table,

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter

Thank you for the explantion, now I understand. No problem, I can add a 11 liter tank size to the dropdown.

Best regards,
Sven

Sven, first of all, congratulations with the new version 5.0.
It looks great!!!

To elaborate on the 11 litre tank, what about double sets?
I am using always a double 12 set. So a 24 liter.
Now I always change the number.
Might it be possible to add several options yourself to the dropdown menu?
I think this will be much easier.

Hi Emmi

Thank you very much, I really appreciate this! :)
I've added now also 20 and 24 liter tanks to the drop down, this is the easiest solution for the moment. A double tank option will be included as soon as I've completed the required database upgrade after the 5.0 final version is released in early 2010.

Best regards,
Sven
