BlueBuddy

Post by sts0981 »

I love your DiveLog, but would like to be able to Download my Blue Buddy Data Logger.

Is there any support for the BlueBuddy Bluetooth data logger?

Are there any plans to support it directly, (Bluetooth Download)?

Is it possible to import the dive information, DL7, that can be exported from the Blue buddy through the MyBlueBuddy and divePAL iphone apps?

Thanks!

Hi

You would have to ask the manufacturer if they want to open the device protocoll to 3rd party developers. Right now this seems unfortuntely unlikely, but maybe if enough people asking, this could change. Diving Log has a DAN DL7 import function. If there is a problem with importing Bluebuddy files, please send me a sample file.

Kind regards,
Sven

Just to answer my own question. I have purchased the advanced license for the Mybluebuddy iphone app. It allows me to export in DL7 format. Bludebuddy has a test mode to generate a dive profile. It appeared to import well by just using your DAN DL7 import feature. I will be trying it next month and hope to be able to import real data then.

My intention will be to:
- Use Dive Log iphone app to capture the location info and enter some basic dive information.
- Use MyBlueBuddy or DivePal to download the BlueBuddy dive data.
- Sync iPhone Dive Log to computer on my return
- Email dives from DivePal/MyBlueBuddy to computer
- Merge the dives with info entered.

I will let you know how it works.
