Selecting Equipment

When editing a dive and selecting the equipment used on the Additional : Equipment tab, DL5 shows the fields Product, Manufacturer, Purchase Date and Last Service. I don't need the field Last Service in order to be able to identify the equipment. But I would like to have a wider Product fiels to hel...

Re: phpDivingLog Text Formating

I suspect the problem is that DL5 saves the comment data differently to DL4, not that it exports it differently. The comments fields on dives that were saved by DL4 are still okay. It's only on the dives saved in DL5 that the problem occurs. If I change phpDivingLog to add in extra breaks, it's not ...

Re: phpDivingLog Text Formating

Some additional information. Diving Log 5.0 is running under Windows 7. RTF2Plaintext is set to True as it was for DL4. DL5 is exporting the file to a GZip file. With DL4 it was a text SQL file. DL5 is set to use UTF8 encoding. DL4 didn't have this setting. phpMyAdmin is using UTF8 for the character...

phpDivingLog Text Formating

G'day, Since switching to Diving Log 5.0, I'm getting some strange results when exporting the data and viewing it with phpDivingLog. The comments created and saved with Diving Log 5.0 are shown without spacing: See http://www.borrett.id.au/divelog/index.php?nr=294 Yet text in the database that was c...

Used Equipment Limitation

G'day, I've just been updating my equipment list and specifying equipment used on recent dives. I've now hit what appears to be a limitation in the Diving Log 5.0 database setup. I'm getting an error: Cannot set column 'UsedEquip'. The value violates the MaxLength limit of this colum. Any chance thi...

Re: Suggestion: Equipment Active or Inactive

Thanks Sven. Another suggestion: I'd love to be able to create "groups" of diving gear. For example, a group for my "Double Cylinders", being the two 12.2 litre cylinders, the manafold, the valves, the bands etc. Or "Twin regs", being the regs, each of the the hoses, ga...

Re: Please vote for type of new visibility fields

Doing visibility as text dropdown fields as you do for the weather and suit type would suit me the best. That way I can setup my own ranges, e.g.
<2m
2-5m
5-10m
10+m
In phpDivingLog I could do stats on them.

Re: SAC Rate

Just a thought with regards to SAC rates, multiple gases and switching. Sometimes it's nice to be able to determine the SAC rate for different stages of the dive for use in dive planning. For example, I'm diving to 45 metres with air on my back and using EAN50 from 21m on the ascent and EAN100 at 6m...

Suggestion: Equipment Active or Inactive

G'day, Okay, so in my nearly 5 years of diving, I accumulated quite a lot of diving equipment. But I've also 'retired' quite a bit of equipment as well. Either it's broken, lost, or simply no longer used. It would be great if there was a way to tell Diving Log which items of equipment were no longer...

phpDivingLog and DL5

G'day, I've upgraded to DL5.0. However when I export the data to my web site, phpDivingLog 1.9 reports the DL program version as 4.0.0.5. The value DBVersion from the table DBInfo is being used by phpDivingLog to display the version of DL in use. Maybe DBVersion is supposed to be the version of your...

Re: Stage Bottles

G'day, Please count me in as a vote to add the ability for Diving Log to handle stage cylinders. Currently diving with one or two stage cylinders on a regular basis, plus have another one waiting in the wings. So I'd love to be able to say which ones I used on a dive, what the gas mix was, plus what...

Re: Suunto HelO2 in progress

G'day James, I purchased a Suunto HelO2 a few months back. I've only used it on about 5 dives so far. My current D9.dll file is 15 Mb, but ZIPs down to about 2.5 Mb. That's got all of my 290 odd dives in it (most with a Suunto Vytec DS), including the 5 dives from the HelO2. I could try to put the H...

Diving Log version in phpDivingLog

G'day, In phpDivingLog 1.9, the version of Diving Log is displayed on the Dive Statistics page. (I notice that this seems to be missing from Rob's latest version.) However, today when updating my logbook for the first time in a while, I noticed that when I updated the MySQL dump file to my database,...
