Teemutin, I'm in favor of <repetitiongroup>, even though it causes a little trouble for me. Suunto provides a number for dives in a sequence. An example is a multiday dive holiday, where the DC never clears. I think those should be grouped. We need to plan for the future also, the new VPM/RGBM model...

I have a rebuilt version of the downloader at my website. It should be a drop in replacement for the existing one in DiveLog. you should rename your old "SuuntoXML.exe" file in the "Diving Log 4.0" folder and then add the new one and rename it to "SuuntoXML.exe". I'd re...

I've taken a fairly good look at the UDCF protocols. They are the protocols for transfers from the dive computer to a Logging program. They seem quit complete, with a few exceptions: 1: A <datatrack> tag that holds 'compartment' loading data. This tag was designed and included for the Uwatec Aladin ...

How about a "developers" forum??

Sven,

What do you think about a separate forum for this type of discussion.

The details of this could get complex, and I'm sure, would be of little interest to Most users. It would also be cleaner then Emails with CCs and be easier to find and reference.

Looks interesting!, a bit overgrown perhaps, but that does no harm to the downloader builders, it only makes your job more complex Sven ;-) You have to implement the complete standard. OK, I agree, Lets use the UDDF protocol for all XML based downloaders. The next full version ( version 3.0 ) of my ...
but if I get this working properly we would need a create a seperate format as you said.
That would be both a good thing and a mistake. I'm not saying my format is a good one - it simply follows the Suunto computers internal layout. What's needed is a XML "stan...

Sven is pretty quick at getting you your registration code. Give him a couple of 'business days' though.
The Email that contains the code will have the instructions about how to use it.

Suunto Downloader

Hi All, I would like to start with an apology for the wait for a new version of the downloader. An explanation is in order. Shortly after decoding the memory structure of the D9, but before any work could be completed, my computer system suffered a massive failure. Two drives, the system drive and t...

Re: Getting Suunto Transfer to work

My PC seems to have a large number of COM ports because of the BlueTooth adapter. Installing the Suunto USB Drivers put it on COM16. JConn Suunto Transfer was "Unable to Open the Port" perhaps it seems this port number is too high a device for it. (however Suunto DM2 did work!) The Downlo...
Maybe someone can explain this a little bit because I'm not familiar with the imperial calculation.
Sven, what seems to be confusing you is the way bottles are sized in the US. We don't rate them with a liquid volume like europe does. Here a Tank is given a 'Max...

Re: Question about sac rate
so in other words, you want me to write my own software or rewrite this one or start converting all numbers related to my dive gear into the metric system to use this software? :?
No, just enter the size of the bottle in metric. Nothing else changes. File->Preference...
