I will add code to look at the settings in Diving Log and try to set the 'Use Imperial' correctly.
Also, the application does not upload the photos, only the profile pic. I can look into uploading the photo's too, but then I wonder if each dive should be it's own album. I will think on this one...

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites
Yes, everything stored in the Diving Log database is in metric (understandably since Sven lives in a country with modern units, lol...actually for everything but diving, here in Canada, everything is metric, but for diving we follow the Americans). For your utility, internally you would store the va...

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites
This is a very cool little app, certainly easier than typing this stuff in from Google maps! One thing I noticed, the elevation is always in meters, it would be a nice little feature to have a check-box to allow metric (M) and imperial (ft). Also, +1 for an icon in the tree/list on the left to indic...

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo
Actually, looks like the resolution is trimmed significantly from 1024x768 (does your tablet have a virtual keyboard which is taking up a bunch of space)? In any case, I put the data plot control in a view box with scaling and looks 'okay' right down to 800 x 480 (okay meaning you can type in a comm...

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo
Ah, your screen resolution is too small (you can't see the comment editor). Also, you can click the header in the grid to resort, so to see the latest at the top, just click the Dive No. header. I will look into trying to make the screen work for lower resolutions, but it detracts from the experienc...

Re: phpDivingLog 3.0 Development
MySQL allows spaces in field names, but they need to be enclosed in back ticks. This following works on my server (5.1): CREATE TABLE Userdefined( ID int( 11) AUTO_INCREMENT , LogID int( 11) default NULL , `Extra Stuff 1` varchar( 255) default '' , Field2 varchar( 255) default '' , Field3 varchar( 2...

Re: Couple of suggestions
Oh, and I've seen point 4 as well. Usually when adding a new site, if you click save and switch to different dive and come back, the links have turned to pencils and you need to link and save a second time. I've not found 100% repro steps, but I've seen it happen quite often while I'm throwing in ne...

Re: Couple of suggestions
Pawel, For point #3, I believe Diving Log does this, click on 'Locations' in the 'Statistics' section on the left of the main window, it allows you see all sorts of counts for countries, states, sites, etc. For point #5, not sure if you mean the ability to pick more than one buddy, but if so, click ...

Question for the original poster: does Oceanlog show the pressure through-out the dive or just start/end pressures?

Not yet, I can send you the Excel spreadsheet (or you should have access from the SVN repository I set up)...it's in there.

Thanks Sven. If you do blog about it, can you also add a call for translators for other languages? It would be nice to offer the UI to people in their native language as well!

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo
You're both very welcome, if there is anything else, please post here, pm me or email me. I think Sven and I both have a similar outlook for software development...we both feel that if you offer software to people, it's important that it work and when it doesn't it is dissatisfying. Dedication to ma...
