Not just no but hell no
I abandoned Scubase, a very fine program, because it went to MSSQL and rendered all my custom macros useless. MSSQL is blatant overkill for a personal dive log, chews up system resources, makes it harder to debug problems, makes it harder (not impossible) to work with programatically, and is not as ...

I like to just use File Explorer to copy the database file to a backups directory where I put various documents from all kinds of apps. It's a few extra manual steps but in the long run I've found it easier than trying to remember the backup procedures for a bunch of different apps. About once a mon...

Yes it is, DeepEyes. Before I bought it, I grilled Sven on making sure he would stick with the Access database because as long as you can manipulate your data directly you can work around any problem or limitation. You also won't find many programs where the author will offer to personally help with...

Wishlist - URLs in Comments
Would like for the Comments text to support hyperlinks so I could add references to dive shops, charters, detailed trip reports, photo pages, etc.

Import problem - duplicate index
OK, I'm stumped. How am I supposed to add dives to the logbook? After converting my old logbook into DL, I did some diving this weekend and wanted to add the dives. I transfered the dives from dive computer to Suunto DM 1.5, then exported as CSV. Tried to import into logbook and it immediately abort...

Trips table
Any plans to add a table for Trips that we could link dives to, like Scubase? I like to log info about the general trip and usually do it in the first dive of the trip but it can be lengthy and clutters up that dive.

Another suggestion on images - can you guess how I'm spending my day? Attaching multiple pictures to a dive can be a tedious process. How about allowing one to specify a directory only and the graphic viewer would just step through whatever images are in that directory. Then I could organize my dive...

One more thing on storing the path in the preferences, it would be nice to set this path and have a checkbox to denote the root as the location of the logbook database. Similar to how the BASEREF tag works in HTML. To clarify, if my logbook is in a directory called My Logbook and I have a subdirecto...

Maybe I'm missing something here. I have some manually entered dives without the profile. To calculate SAC, I need Average Depth. To get Average Depth, I enter one profile point with the average depth. Fine. But then I get a SAC rate with a humongous number like 20cuft3. I duplicate the profile poin...

Suggestions
Here are a few suggestions I have after playing with this over the weekend. You may have already implemented some of these for the next update. Some are nit picky and some are major. I also realize User Defined fields can be used as a catch all. Add an Average Depth field to the Logbook tab, perhaps...

I just bought my copy. FYI, I looked at a lot of logbook apps and there are some nice ones out there, but all of them have things I feel is missing or needs improving. Even Diving Log. There are two key reasons I chose Diving Log over the others. 1. You are very active in developing the software and...
