Re: Shearwater Perdix?
The Perdix isn't listed because it's not officially supported yet. In order to add it we need confirmation from a successful download. Download the libdivecomputer dctool application. It's a command-line application which you need to run with these options: dctool.exe -v -l petrel.log -f petrel down...

Re: ScubaPro Chromis Depth Difference when downloading
If you send me a memory dumps of your Chromis and Meridian, I'll have a look. Download the universal test application, and run it with these options: universal.exe -v -l meridian.log -m meridian.bin -b meridian <COMx> Replace <COMx> with the correct serial port (typically COM3). Afterwards, email me...

I'll need a memory dump of your dive computer to investigate this. Download the universal test application, and run it with these options: universal.exe -v -l atom2.log -m atom2.bin -b atom2 <COMx> Replace <COMx> with the correct serial port (typically COM3). Re: Trouble Downloading from Suunto Cobra
The "Access is denied" error usually indicates some other application already has the serial port open. Do you have Suunto DM running at the same time?

Re: Profile not showing gas mixes
Multiple gas mixes and gas switches are fully supported for the Vytec. This has been implemented long time ago. So I'm not sure why they are not showing up for you. The only outstanding issue is that a switch to an identical gas mix (e.g. Air to Air) won't be detected. But that does not apply to you...

Re: lost temperature profile
However it would be better to find the root of this issue. I have to ask Jef, but if I remember right, the Vyper does not record a full temperature profile, but only records temperature at start, end and lowest temperature. Libdivecomputer and Suunto DM create a fake temperature profile from it, wh...

Enable the "Log errors" checkbox, and then when the download fails, click the "Show error logfile" link to open the error log. Send this logfile by email, or if it's short you can post it directly on the forum.

Re: Can not connect Suunto Eon Steel
That assertion should only be triggered if there is a bug in the code. Are you trying to download from a device without any dives yet? I've build a version with the assert disabled. Drop it into the divinglog installation directory (backup the existing dll), and try again. http://libdivecomputer.org...

Re: Can not connect Suunto Eon Steel
As far as I know, nobody has ever tested the Eon Steel on Windows using libdivecomputer before. Libdivecomputer uses the libusb library for the USB communication. This requires the winusb driver to be installed for the device. My guess is that this driver isn't installed. There is simple tool named ...

Re: Direktes auslesen von Hollis Explorer
If you're lucky, then the Hollis Explorer uses the same protocol as the other Hollis/Oceanic dive computers. To check this, download the universal test application, and run it with these options: universal.exe -v -l atom2.log -m atom2.bin -b atom2 <COMx> Replace <COMx> with the correct serial port (...

Re: Download problems!
The usb-serial chip is in the pc interface, not your brand new PC. If the cable worked fine before on an older PC, then most likely you had an older driver installed. And when moving to a new system, you installed the latest version, which happens to have that counterfeit check added. Note that thes...

Re: Download problems!
The exlamation mark icon indicates the driver failed to load. That's why COM5 doesn't show up. You might be affected by the counterfeit chip detection that Prolific added to their driver. If that's the case, you'll need to find an old driver: http://wp.brodzinski.net/hardware/fake-pl2303-how-to-inst...
