Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites

G'day, So I downloaded the updated version and copied it into where I had the old version running. Then I clicked on the exe file. It came up with a Microsoft .NET Framework error: Unhandled exception has occured in your application. The details were: See the end of this message for details on invok...

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites

G'day rene,

Australia too is metric. It's those yanks that are still clinging to the old imperial system.

Having the indicator for the dives without coordinates would be the biggest help. The sort order is less important.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites

My mistake rene,

Altitude is a free text field. For almost all of my dives it's "0 m" for sea level.

Depth is numeric and stored in metres.

Best regards, Lloyd Borrett.

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo

My mistake Andy, The native screen resolution for many netbook computers is 1024 x 600, and that's the mode mine is running in. I downloaded and installed the new version and have been able to successfully post a profile to Facebook. Great work Andy, and many thanks for this application. Best Regard...

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites

Google Earth returns metres. Plus the values in the Diving Log database are in metres. So if this app is writing direct into the DL database as I suspect it is, then it is saving the metre values and when you view the values in Diving Log you'll see feet or metres depending on what units you have as...

Re: Use Google Earth to geotag the dive sites

Great work rene, I started using this yesterday. Had a few Google Earth related issues at first, but an uninstall and install resolved them. Any chance you could sort the list of dive sites and provide an indicator as to which sites have coordinates and which ones don't? Sven, you might want to chec...

Re: phpDivingLog 3.0 Development

That's great Sven. You can see support for user-defined fields implemented at http://www.borrett.id.au/divelog3/index.php?id=353 By the way, the other day is was looking at the Tree Browser part of Diving Log (used as an alternative way to see Locations, Buddies, Divetypes, Date, Equipment and Trips...

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo

Thanks Andrew, 1024 x 768 is the standard resolution for most netbook computers, so supporting that screen size would be most useful. Maybe you could display the dive profile at a slightly smaller size. Plus maybe move the profile down a bit on the screen. There seems to be room under the profile. B...

Re: Looking for testers for Diving Log Facebook Profile Uplo

G'day Andy, Just downloaded and installed this on my dive computer - Acer Eee PC, Windows 7 Pro, 32-bit, 1024 x 768 screen. Opened the logbook okay. (Suggest you display dives with the most recent first.) Selected my last dive. Clicked on Upload. Logged in to Facebook. Then I get the screen shown in...

Re: phpDivingLog 3.0 Development

G'day Sven, Thought I'd have a go at adding support for the user defined fields to phpDivingLog. So I added a field called 'Extra Stuff 1' with a value of 'Test stuff' to a logbook entry. Then did a MySQL Export. On importing the data using phpMyAdmin I got the following error: SQL query: CREATETABL...

Re: Using phpDivingLog with GoDaddy web hosting

Thanks Terry,

That should help some people get phpDivingLog up and running.

I notice that your Dive Log is now online at http://www.terrylowe.com/

We're currently working on an updated phpDivingLog. See viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1468

Re: Multi Tank Suport for Sidemount

G'day Sven, I experience virtually the same scenario when I dive with independent twin cylinders. That is no manifold, which is often the case when I'm away on a diving holiday and the dive centre doesn't have manifolded twins. Reg setup would be similar to using sidemounts, it's just that the cylin...

Re: phpDivingLog 3.0 Development

G'day Rene, My development box for phpDivingLog is the humble Acer netbook computer I use for diving related stuff. (It's my cheapest dive computer.) I'm well aware that shared ISP hosting has performance issues. Because most people will probably host their phpDivingLog implementation on just such a...

Re: phpDivingLog 3.0 Development

Thanks,

These queries work, but are way too slow on my development setup. Query blows out from taking 0.0116 sec to always around 15 sec. So I guess I'll just have to forgo the nice to have but not essential extra details such a query could have provided.

Yes, but that code is out of date as Rob's been on holidays for a few weeks. My latest changes are at https://github.com/lloyd-borrett/phpDivinglog
