Feature Suggestion - Multiple GPS points for dive sites

We can currently store a GPS coordinate for a dive site. It would be nice to be able to store two coordinates. Many dives, especially drift dives, have different starting and ending points. Bonus, if two points draw a line on the map. I don't think this would require significant coding or cause any ...

Re: Sorting by date and TIME

Is there a functionality to adjust date/time for selected dives by an increment. Often I will go on a dive trip to another time zone and forget to adjust the date/time of dive computer. If it's just an hour I don't really care but when it's the other side of the world the dive times look really stra...

Re: Export CSV - DiveDate not showing time

Thanks a lot. I overlooked the column EntryTime. A single column with correct date and time would be nice but this information does allow me to get at the data I need. I'm wanting to create a Python script to read the CreateDate of underwater media files and match them up with the Date and Time of t...

Export CSV - DiveDate not showing time

When I export dives as CSV and include the DiveDate column, it exports as "6/24/1998 12:00:00 AM" where time is always "12:00:00 AM". Is this a known issue or limitation, or pilot error on my part? I'm using the latest update.

Re: Download Subgear XP-3G

I too was unable to get IRDA dongle to work in W10 after using it flawlessly for years in W7. I tried everything in the book. I had an old W7 computer I was using just for uploading dives until I switched to a Shearwater and can just import the dives from an exported db file.

Re: Feature Request for Trips

Thanks for the response. If datepicker is too problematic for some reason i.e. incompatible framework, then a simple textbox entry would still be much easier than all the clicking.

Feature Request for Trips

The new feature to prompt to include dives within the dates of a new trip created is nice but not crucial. There are many other fields common to a trip - weight, exposure suit, equipment used, etc. - so I typically fill out the first dive then save/apply a template with the common fields. More usefu...

Re: Photo storage idea

Relative paths have been requested for years. I'm not a fan of the caching idea. Disk storage is cheap if you buy a new disk but it may not be plentiful on existing computers. I don't like the idea of keeping pics under "Documents/Diving Log" because that is within the user profile, which ...

Re: Suggestions - Global Lookups

I would love to have an Import/Export for these lookups. XML would be great so as to allow you to modify in a text editor if desired. Here's how I envision it: Import/Export Lookups dialog radio buttons to select Import or Export checkboxes for each lookup (country, dive site, buddy, etc) with a mas...

Re: Suggestions - Global Lookups

How about just the ability to Export and Import these lookups manually from an XML file? This would solve his root problem which is having to create data 4 times. He could create his lists, export to xml, then import into his other logbooks. It would also allow people to share community-sourced look...

Re: how to convert 5.0 layout (.xml) files to 6.0 (.lay)?

Here is something odd. Not sure if you want to call it an issue or bug. So the reason I was looking for a way to add margins or padding was because I didn't like the fields/controls all being jammed up tight next to each other. Turns out that only happens when oppening a layout from the Layout tab, ...

Re: how to convert 5.0 layout (.xml) files to 6.0 (.lay)?

Thanks, I had found that but wasn't positive it was applicable. Either that extension is real buggy, your app uses a partial implementation, or I'm just plain stupid because the simplest items just don't work. If I try to add a label inside a LayoutGroup using this format <LayoutItem Label="Ite...

Can you give us a link to this third party component so we can get documentation on it? I'm trying to recreate (and improve) my 5.0 custom layouts and having a ton of questions.

Re: Can we get logbook filter modified in next version?

FYI, quick and easy way to find divetype id is to open the mdb (I use freeware MDB Viewer Plus) and look at the DiveType table. All the ID and TypeName values right there. Most people don't add or edit dive types very often once they get set up so just take a screenshot and save it.

Re: Customize Logbook Fields

Marine life yields, yes. High on my wishlist. In the meantime, how does this sound as an alternative. I'm thinking use the Equipment capabilities to add items for fish species. I could prefix them with an "_" to keep together, add items as I encounter them, then in my logbook would only ne...
