Re: Suunto Vytec Download

Could I please get a look at the debug file being generated??
Also if you would please get the latest version from my site and try it.
I use a Vytec as MY dive computer and I've had no issues with it downloading.

Re: Suunto HelO2 in progress

:-) Ask Sven about that Copyright claim. LOL I put that claim there to make you return the posts you had previously removed (in a hissy fit) about the proposed "Standard". The claim itself is ludicrous. You were happy to discuss a standard, until it was time to implement it, and I was 90% ...

Re: Suunto HelO2 in progress

I have no hostility towards you. I do find a correlation between your post timing and when Any thread of mine on any board is posted to. You seem to have a fetish for having your name above mine. So much so that I suspect some of the posters who support you are actually sock puppets. This is a good ...

You could learn to use the "EDIT" feature instead of posting a dozen small posts to the same thread in 10 minutes.

Suunto HelO2 in progress

Is anyone using the HelO2. If so would you be willing to part with data? Test communications , ect? I am getting ready to start decoding the HelO2 memory layout, but I have no wish to buy a $1K computer to support what is, for me, a free program. The Suunto tools I write are freeware and the source ...

Re: temp and warnings missing from Suunto

All right Sven, I think I've got it fixed. To Explain: I was rewriting that section to allow the base classes to be used for other computer types. The derived class would add the computer type to the namespace. In this case I put everything in the baseclass strings and Still had the derived adding t...

Re: temp and warnings missing from Suunto

You're Right! I don't know when this was changed, but it was likely when I moved the output strings from hard coded to a string table. A new version has been built and is on the website.

Re: Suunto XML Downloader

The problem was indeed caused by a bug in the downloader. A 'regression' was introduced when rebuilding the low level core routines. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. A fixed version is available on my site, and Sven has an updated version also. My thanks to Cecil Claspell of www.divewithcecil.com fo...

Re: temp and warnings missing from Suunto

Can you send me a memory dump of your dive computer? If there is really garbage inside the internal memory, I would like to have a look at that. I would like a copy too. I have never been able to get a dump of an effected computer. I believe the problem is a loss of the EndOfDives marker, in which ...

Re: temp and warnings missing from Suunto

I took a look at the XML file, I see errors in the data - but I believe these are in the DC itself and not from the Downloader. Why?? Look at the next dives - The "tstamp" for the first dive is wrong, but all the other dives are correct. The "repetition group" ID tag is zero, tho...

Re: Suunto Vyper Deco Transfer

The Vyper only stores a "start of deco" marker in the profile data, it does not store an "end of deco" mark. There is no way to tell directly from the profile data how long deco lasted, except by calculating gas loading. As Suunto does not release their proprietary algorithms thi...

Re: Need testers for dive computer downloader

Is it a Cobra, Cobra 2 or Cobra 3 computer you're using? Cobra and Cobra 2 should be working with James downloader, Cobra 3 probably not. Hi Sven, I don't think it will matter what version of Cobra, I have no reports of problems with the Cobra 3/Vyper 3 or the Vyper Air. As was pointed out the user...
