Dive Site Information

Post by lloyd_borrett »

G'day Sven,

I was out diving last weekend and we were trying to decide on the site for our second dive.

"How about Castle Rock," I said.

"I don't have a waypoint for that," said the boat captain.

"Hang on, I think I do," I replied.

So I grabed my PDA, and fired up Diving Log Pocket PC.

No dive site info.

Now I'm pretty sure that the SQL data table for the dive sites gets transferred to the PDA. But I can't see the information.

It would be great if you could add support for displaying the dive site information to the Pocket PC version.

Even better if we could quickly get the location details in the form required by most GPS units. That is...

Code: Select all

Waypoint:
ABCDEF

Position:
N 40 19.884
W 074 47.688

Altitude:
-20 M / -65 FT
The "altitude" being the max depth. The coordinates being displayed in the format used by most GPS units so that no conversion is required.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

Hi Lloyd

Yes, it is a high priority for me to display the detailed informations as well, like equipment data, dive site details and so on. The possibility to edit this data will come later on.

Kind regards,
Sven
