A generic error occurred in GDI+

Post by DiverMike69 »

Every time I try and export to PDF since the latest update I get "A generic error occurred in GDI+" and the programme hands requiring a ctrl-alt-del to shut it down. Is this a known problem?

Hi Mike

No, this is not a know issue. It is also not related to the latest Diving Log update, because I have not updated the print and PDF export for a long time.

Please make sure you have setup a default printer in Windows. You can also try the PDF export from the print function in Diving Log or use one of the PDF printers in combination with the print function. You can also use the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer which is built into Windows 10.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the tip. It took a while to work around but installing cute pdf and setting that as the default printer did it. I run windows in a VM and it was connected to the printer but I export to pdf anyway so the default printer does not matter to me. Cheers for the speedy response.
