Feature Request: Statistics total Dive time per type

Post by Petrus »

Hi Sven,

I'm trying to see what the total dive time per Type is. Since I like to trac how many hours I've been diving my ccr, I've flagged all dives with a type CCR.

The statistics tell me exactly how many of that type I made. d. However I' like to see how long I spend on that specfic type.
I did look to see if I could do it myself but the only thing I found was doing a drill down on types and getting out the trusted ol' calculator.

If I missed something kindly point me in the right direction otherwise let me know if this can be put on the wish list.

Hello Pieter,

You could copy the stats for a given type into a spreadsheet (excel, opencalc, ...) and use the sum function.

I don't know if you could this into Diving Log directly.

Hi Pieter

There is currently no build in way to do that, I'm sorry. I want to add filters to the statistics window which would make this possible in the future. You can export your dives to Excel and use the "SupplyType" column to filter all CCR dives (0 = OC, 1 = SCR, 2 = CCR). This requires that you set the proper options in the tank dialog, but it is the recommended way to log CCR dives. Of course you can additionally use also a dive type, but the official way is the only way to display the recorded ppO2 profile (if there is one) instead of the calculated for OC dives.

Kind regards,
Sven

That is sufficient for my needs atm......
Thanks...

It is very common for "starting" CCR Divers to need to track the hours flying their unit.
As for certain courses require hours used instead of number of dives ...

As we from the "dark side" can spend multiple hours underwater on a single dive it makes more sense to measure expierence that way
DiveTime per supply type whould be a great addition for CCR/SCR users

Hi Sven,
any news about this feature (statistic of time and no. of dives for CCR)?
Example:

I am using the Touch Version and the Desktop Version V5.11.

Btw.
Do you plan an extra thread for the Touch Version?

Hi Uwe

The filter function is already available: https://www.divinglog.de/blog/?p=1061

You can filter for many things, including supply type, which is CCR or OC. You can post Diving Log Touch questions to the existing forums. There are currently not too many questions, so a separate forum is not necessary.

Kind regards,
Sven

So is there any way of showing total dive time?
I can filter to show all my CCR dives but not sure how to get it to show times.

Thanks

Sure, in the statistics window you can see total dive time and many more values. If you filter them to CCR dives, you can see total dive time of your CCR dives.
