Re: Need testers for dive computer downloader
Try running the test application from my previous post, and send me the generated output files. The Mares Nemo Air should work just fine with the "puck" backend. For the Mares icon HD I have no idea which protocol is used. Probably also the puck protocol. You could just try the test applic...

Re: Need testers for dive computer downloader
It's been a while since my last update, and the libdivecomputer library has improved a lot. For almost all supported devices we can now not only download the data, but also parse the dive profiles. Since it's a lot of effort to verify whether the generated output is correct, you can help us with tha...

Unable to find an entry point namend `device_set_events`in DLL `libdivecomputer-0.dll I guess you still have an older version of the libdivecomputer-0.dll, while Divinglog was upgraded and expects a newer version of this dll. If you replace it with the correct version, it should work. The easiest w...

Re: Download from dive computer
Adding a new decoder to libdivecomputer is easy. To start a veo250 decoder (which is our internal name for the type 2 pelagic compatible devices), you can probably reuse most of the code from the atom2 decoder. The hardest part is definitely finding out how and where the data is stored. Once you hav...

Re: Download from dive computer
For direct downloading, Diving Log is using the libdivecomputer library. We support many dive computers (Suunto, Uwatec, Oceanic, Mares, etc) in the libdivecomputer project, but at the moment Diving Log does not support all of them in it's GUI. But I wouldn't be surprised if that's on Sven's todo li...

Re: bug import with aladin
Which download mode did you use (in the advanced settings)? Diving Log or libdivecomputer? If it was libdivecomputer, I would like to have a look at the memory dump too.

Re: temp and warnings missing from Suunto
Can you send me a memory dump of your dive computer? If there is really garbage inside the internal memory, I would like to have a look at that. The procedure is explained in this topic:

Re: Need testers for dive computer downloader
None of the logfiles on your website contains anything interesting because you made a mistake while capturing with PortMon and running my test application. It appears your interface is attached to COM2 (because that's what you write on your website), while you are capturing with PortMon on COM1. So ...

We have now support for the Oceanic Veo 250. The test application to collect memory dumps is available here:
http://users.telenet.be/sacn/suunto/veo250.exe
We could use some more memory dumps to decode the profile data format.

I doubt it is related to the memory wrap at address 0x8000. The last address I'm seeing in that logfile is 0x7F0E, and that is at least two packets before the wrap point. And on top of that, you can perfectly read outside the available memory without getting errors. PS: Can you provide me a memory d...

The Oceanic VT3 seems to have the same memory layout as the ATOM2. I have been able to dump out the whole of memory and navigate through the dives in the same manner (as I understand, these are the same computer with different layouts anyway). Is there any format specification for the actual logboo...

I can use some more data from these Uwatec models: Uwatec Aladin O2 Uwatec Smart (all models) Uwatec Galileo (all models) Memory dumps from other manufacturers/models are also welcome of course. In the meantime, I have also prepared a downloader for the Mares Nemo. It is available here: http://users...
