Re: Shearwater Perdix AI not connecting.
Yes, Bluetooth LE under Windows is very buggy and problemematic at the moment, that's why I haven't started using it yet. Unfortunately there is no way to export from Diving Log to Shearwater Desktop, because the file format is not documented anywhere. Okay thanks for the help. It is what it is I g...

Re: Shearwater Perdix AI not connecting.
Hi The Perdix AI is using Bluetooth LE instead of classic Bluetooth and unfortunately cannot be downloaded directly with Diving Log at the moment. I try to add Bluetooth LE support in the future, but right now you have to import from Shearwater Desktop into Diving Log. Thank you for such a speedy r...

Shearwater Perdix AI not connecting.
Diving log seems unable to see and download from my Perdix AI. I start DL6 on my PC > turn on Perdix and start the Bluetooth. The 'countdown begins at which point I open 'downloader' from the side bar and ........... nothing. There appears to be no way the desktop version of Diving Log can communica...

Re: Bluetooth and ios
Having done more research I have purchased and await delivery of a Shearwater Perdix AI. I will now be able to download my dives via BT straight to my iPad and iPhone and sync to my PC when I return home.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Bluetooth and ios
Thanks again for getting back to me. Although I think I prefer the look of the EON Steel, particularly the screen display, I'm also now having a closer look at the Shearwater Perdix AI. Either way I need to upgrade my old Suunto Vyper which is long in the tooth now and, apart from other consideratio...

Re: Bluetooth and ios
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately my trip starts in second week of December 2017 so you won't have EON support by then. I shall have a closer look at the other dive computers you mention but I had pretty much settled on buying the EON Steel.

Bluetooth and ios
Hi, I'm seriously considering purchasing a Suunto EON or EON Steel dive computer and have a question. Is it possible to import new dives to Diving Log on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6s from the EON/EON Steel via Bluetooth? I will be traveling for four months including liveaboard and shore diving and will...

Re: Com Port issues.....Again!
I think it is maybe Windows Update which is installing the wrong driver over and over again. If you check Windows Update and see the wrong driver offered again, right click this update and hide it, so it doesn't get installed again. If you're on Windows 10, it is more difficult to prevent automatic...

Re: Com Port issues.....Again!
It appears you are correct and the driver had reverted to the old prolific (fake) one as per this previous post which was sorted out for me by tnt (gawd bless im :D ) http://www.divinglog.de/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2418 Reinstalled the correct driver and all is now good to go with the correct COM ...

Re: Com Port issues.....Again!
What has changed? It sounds as it has worked before, so something must have changed. Please note, this is not a Diving Log problem. Diving Log does not create COM ports and does not contain drivers. Diving Log can only use the existing COM ports. COM ports are created by drivers, so I guess the dri...

Com Port issues.....Again!
Trying to download recent dives fron Suunto Vyper to DL5 via Suunto downloader and Universal Downloader with the same issue. I am only given the option of COMPort1. Both downloaders return COMPort not found and fail to download. This is very frustrating as it seems to be an ongoing intermittent prob...

Re: Download problems!
The usb-serial chip is in the pc interface, not your brand new PC. If the cable worked fine before on an older PC, then most likely you had an older driver installed. And when moving to a new system, you installed the latest version, which happens to have that counterfeit check added. Note that the...

Re: Download problems!
The exlamation mark icon indicates the driver failed to load. That's why COM5 doesn't show up. You might be affected by the counterfeit chip detection that Prolific added to their driver. If that's the case, you'll need to find an old driver: http://wp.brodzinski.net/hardware/fake-pl2303-how-to-ins...
