Update for importers and downloaders

You can download an update for the importers and downloaders in Diving Log. Both updates contain a new feature to import into existing dives. So it is now possible to update already existing dives with the data from the dive computer. This is mostly interesting for iPhone and Windows Mobile users. Diving Log tested on Windows 7

Diving Log 4.0 and the Diving Log Viewer were successfully tested on Windows 7 Beta 1. Both programs run on Windows 7 without problems.

iPhone and iPod Touch Dive Log

The iPhone Dive Log is now available in the iTunes App Store: Open App Store

It is fully compatible with Diving Log on the desktop. Logbook files can be wireless transferred via WiFi to the iPhone and changes on the iPhone can be later synchronized back to the PC. The buddy feature integrates nicely with the Contacts app and dive sites can be viewed in the Google Maps app. It runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch and is currently available in English and German.

Development of an iPhone version

Currently in cooperation with More Mobile Software a Dive Log version for the iPhone and iPod Touch is in development. The iPhone Dive Log is fully compatible with Diving Log and will enable "over the air" synchronization via WiFi. Some early screenshots and news about the development can be found in the forum.

Update of the Dilogs client

You can download an update for the Dilogs client for 64 bit systems: Exporter.zip

In this version a bug was fixed which prevented the program running on 64 bit systems. Users with 32 bit Windows versions don't need this update. Extract the zip file into the Diving Log program folder.

New logbook report file

Erik Lindahl has released a new version of his logbook report file, which can be downloaded here: A5Logbook.zip [PDF Preview]

The report supports 4 languages for the labels: English, Swedish, Danish and German which can be selected before the printing starts. The report file is very impressive and demonstrates the possibilities of the print engine. The previous version of this report has reached last year the 2nd place on the List & Label Report Award.

New dive computer download

There is a new direct download for the Uwatec Smart and Aladin devices with irda connection: Downloader.zip

Extract the zip file into the Diving Log program folder. To use the Smart download, you must currently double click on the Downloader.exe file in the Diving Log program folder. With the next Diving Log update the Smart download can be started directly in Diving Log.

There is also an alternate download method for the old Uwatec Aladin and for the Sensus Ultra devices. You can switch in the advanced settings of the download dialog to the "OSDL" method, which makes use of a new open source download library. The OSDL method is recommended for the Sensus Ultra devices, because it is more reliable.

Microsoft released .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

Microsoft released the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 which has some performance improvements and other new features. I recommend that you update to SP1 so that future versions of the Diving Log Viewer can make use of the new features.
